Safety Audits & Inspections
Regular rack audits and inspections aren’t just a safety and compliance issue – they are a vital maintenance tool that can identify and resolve hidden problems before they eventuate and result in days of lost productivity and down-time.
Rack safety inspections must be carried out once every 12 months in order to be compliant with the minimum requirement of Australian Standard AS4084-2012 and racking that does not meet Australian Standards could be viewed as a causal or contributing factor to a workplace injury.
Our experienced auditors will perform a comprehensive examination of your racking structure, provide you with a detailed inspection report and a certificate of compliance once all requirements are fulfilled, giving you peace of mind.
Our Rack Safety Specialists are the only accredited and trained Rack Safety Auditors in South Australia that are approved by Dexion to carry out Rack Safety Audits on Dexion racking. We also offer comprehensive Safety Audits for all other brands of racking.
SCHEDULED SERVICE PLAN Program
Adelaide Shelving offers Scheduled Service Plans (SSP) for all racking systems, regardless of brand, to protect both you and your investment.
Why do I need an Scheduled Service Plan (SSP)?
By undertaking an SSP, you will ensure that your investment in storage and pallet racking equipment is safe and secure, and will be maintained to satisfy your business requirements.

What’s included in my Scheduled Service Plan (SSP) package?
An Adelaide Shelving SSP program provides you with…
- An SSP Electronic Manual will be provided containing:
- A copy of the SSP Program
- A copy of the Request for SSP
- A copy of the SSP Quotation document
- All relevant User Guides for your Dexion Storage Equipment (if applicable)
- Any relevant documents relating to additional Options
- A Section for Inspection Reports
- Inspections that are completed by an authorised Dexion Racking Inspector to Dexion OH&S and Work Method Statement guidelines, in conjunction with AS4084 2012.
- Fixed wholesale pricing for repairs, based on 20% discount of current retail pricing.
- A pre-scheduled inspection report will be prepared and presented, detailing the location and levels of corrective maintenance items. The report will categorise damage as either: Red, Amber or Green, and is usually presented with a quotation for repairs or changes that may be required in a timely fashion.
- Reports contain recommendations for any preventative maintenance to reduce future damage risks, including upright protection in high traffic areas, as appropriate.
- If corrective maintenance is required to return the rack to AS 4084 2012 compliance, we will provide a quotation, including Safe Working Load signage, at a permanently discounted rate of 20% off current retail prices.
- Inspection manual is to be filled out with the proposed date for the next racking inspection.
- (Optional) Quotation for the preparation of an as-built drawing of each site to show locations and configurations of the racking for future reference. This will be presented to the site within 28 days.
